Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since late 1980s. In the TV and film industry, she's known for her awards and nominations. Bassett was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt who lived in New York New York. Bassett and her sister, at the age of five old, moved out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their separated father. Bassett was inspired to become an actress after seeing the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. In the year 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She also received a degree from The Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama granted a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett in the year. She was a student at the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading characters in the film Ramonda in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
